Doug Pick
Co-Founder

Doug Pick, one of our passionate co-founders, is on a mission to change lives through the power of food. Doug serves as the chief executive officer at Feed More, Central Virginia’s core hunger-relief organization. Under his leadership, Feed More is focused not only on nourishing the community but also on empowering lives.

At Feed More, Doug and his team collaborate with 275+ organizations to serve over 225,000 at-risk children, families and seniors through its Central Virginia Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and Community Kitchen programs. Doug also serves as the chair for the VA Federation of Food Banks and as the co-chair for the VCU Health Equity Steering Committee. And he has contributed to our community as the facilitative leader for the RVA Food Collaborative, an adjunct function of the Capital Region Collaborative’s Healthy Community Initiative. Doug's expertise runs deep and he regularly contributes to national initiatives as well. He serves on two national taskforces with Feeding America: Collaborating for Clients and Innovative Development Practices.

Doug is a graduate of UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce. He was the Commerce School’s representative to UVA’s Student Council where he served as treasurer and was honored to win the first annual Douglas Henry Pick Service Award.

Doug knows that food security is essential for our community’s success and he's committed to making sure our neighbors never struggle to put clean, healthy food on their tables. As a co-founder of Greenswell Growers, he is committed to helping our large-scale indoor growing facility provide ready-to-eat, locally grown, fresh greens 365 days a year.
